I just went to the Nickel Diner for the first time yesterday -- so glad you had a good time here, too! Going Downtown in L.A. is always surprising, between the great little eateries along Main, 6th and Spring Streets and seeing people not enhanced by plastic. :) The strawberry pop tart at the Nickel throws rocks at the Kellogg's version and the tofu scramble with veggies and goat cheese? Best I've ever had.

That is AWESOME!! I have always dreaded getting there early and trying to stumble over people for a seat. This system seems well thought out and you can have all of the planning done
and enjoy the experience from beginning to end with no worry. How long before this hits the east coast? Is this a large company that is looking to expand?

There are some wonderful items being preserved in the Library of Congress. It is really worth checking out their website. Preserving our newspapers by digitizing them is one of the best things since the invention of peanut butter.

I always wondered how this started. I had the same reaction as Carol! lol Right across from this wall is a place called the Alibi Room. They have amazing pizzas there. Next time you're in town, I recommend you try it. The Mediterranean pie was the best I've ever had. Friendly people there too.
